Secondary Development program

The Secondary Development program is designed for developing players who are in Secondary school. This program will equip players with skills that will enhance them further in playing netball for their school. They will also learn to work as a team to complement each other on court.

For more advanced players the program will be more designed to complement players who are in competitive netball in their school. The program aims to boost players skill level and gives players an opportunity to be in an advance team environment that will stretch them further in their netball.

This program is specifically developed for players age 13 to 16 years (born in 2009 to 2012).

We give players exposure to various competitions and carnivals.

Cost

The program follows the school calendar and the year is divided into 4 terms. Registration is for one term, followed by quarterly renewals. Players can join anytime unless the registration is closed.

Saturday classes: the program fee for one term is $380 for 1 term (10 sessions of 2 hours).

Sunday classes: the program fee for one term is $450 for 1 term (10 sessions of 2 hours).

New players need to purchase an attire of $60 and there is a one time administration fee of $30. Terms & Conditions apply.

Program fees can be prorated at $43/$50 per session, when you let us know before the start of a term which sessions the player is not able to join. Once joined the first session, full or agreed fees apply. The minimum number of sessions for a term is 7. Terms & Conditions apply.

Attire

The Singapore Netball Academy Attire is Red-white in color. The T-shirt is white with our logo printed on the front and the text "Singapore Netball Academy" printed on the back. The shorts are red with our logo printed on the front. The socks are white with SGNA logo on both sides. This attire is mandatory for all players in the academy. The cost of 1 set is $60 to be paid at the first session.

Trial

We do not provide trial classes for this program. Trial classes are very difficult to organize as we need to rent a court and provide coaches. The reality is that we have to decide on a timing that is convenient for everyone where everyone has their own schedule and no one finally is able to attend the trial classes at the same time. The option to join a running program for 1 session is not feasible as this will disturb the program continuously, something we want to prevent as the players in the program have the right to get the full attention of the coaches. Our advice is to watch one of the sessions and try at least for 1 term (10 sessions) to find out if you or your daughter likes Netball.

Venue

The venues for the Secondary Development program are on Sunday OCBC Arena or Nexus International School (NXIS) and on Saturday Methodist Girls' School. If the venue is not available, the venue will be Kallang Netball Centre
